Creating Inclusive Communities Workshop
NOVEMBER 21, 2014 - 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM MT
Cultural disparities within a city can create a lack of access to social opportunities, political connections or economic benefits. It’s important that every resident feels like they belong, regardless of race, gender or income level, and it’s up to city leaders to make that happen -- but how?
The Creating Inclusive Communities Workshop will provide strategies to address disparities in communities including finding opportunites for the hard to employ, helping people increase financial stability and avoid predatory lending, and creating a system that involves people in politics so everyone feels valued and heard. A panel of experts will show how to bring people together to create a community where everyone has equal access and equal say.
