Dodd Frank Topics Refresher Course - NHNLA

DATE:
MAY 12, 2014 - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET

LOCATION:
New York, NY

The Dodd Frank ruling requires housing counselors to be competent in several areas including financial management; property management; responsibility of homeownership and tenancy; fair housing laws and requirements; housing affordability and avoidance of, and responses to, rental and mortgage delinquency; and avoidance of eviction and mortgage default.

This two-day refresher course – sponsored by the NCLR Homeownership Network Learning Alliance (NHNLA) – will provide an overview on each of these topics, complementing the materials that housing counselors are already using and supplementing the work already being done. The course is geared toward experienced housing counselors; those new to the field need to take more intensive courses on each topic individually.

NHNLA is a national training and certification program sponsored by the National Council of La Raza
