Innovative Strategies for Building Community Assets

Learn ways to infuse innovative asset-building strategies into communities at the upcoming Pathways to Prosperity Conference, Integrating Asset-Building Throughout Communities. Participants will learn about research, practices and policies and examine economies to determine the best ways to promote asset development, examine prosperity, and identify needed partners. Experts will share information on research already available and the research still needed to inform this work and discuss what employers and community leaders can do to help.

Participants will spend time with experts and fellow colleagues to review new ideas, research on asset development, successful community partnerships and more.  Plenary speakers include North Carolina State Treasurer Janet Cowell and Elaine Arkin from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Several “mini” conferences will be held on October 16 on: Race and Poverty, Life Business, Financial Coaching, Credit Solutions, Integrating Financial Education into Youth Programs and Asset-Building, and the Affordable Care Act (the connection between health and wealth).
