Kansas City Symposium: Real-World Solutions for Community Transformation
DECEMBER 11, 2013 - 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET
Kansas City, MO
This December, join NeighborWorks America and other community development practitioners in Kansas City to explore promising models of community change at the NeighborWorks Training Institute’s (NTI) daylong symposium: Real World Solutions for Community Transformation.
The symposium will focus on how local partners can craft and sustain integrated strategies that link housing, health care, education, public safety, transportation and other quality-of-life issues in their communities to achieve large-scale impact. Our skilled and knowledgeable panelists and keynote speakers – to be announced soon – will share their experiences building successful, cross-sector community development efforts, including how they developed:
- A shared vision
- Structures that support and sustain collaboration
- Entrepreneurial solutions that measurably deliver results
- Funding to support their efforts
The symposium will provide you with real tools and techniques to assist in engaging new partners, realigning strategies, and leveraging local assets. The program will also highlight exciting efforts underway across the country and in the host cities of Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas, where local partners have collectively rethought strategies in order to achieve shared goals.
