LISC 30th Anniversary Leadership Symposium and Gala

This event will celebrate the 30-year anniversary of LISC and its work to build sustainable communities. Presentations will include highlights from programs in the Bay Area, Chicago, Rhode Island, Houston, Indianapolis, Duluth, Rural Pennsylvania, San Diego, Twin Cities and Phoenix. Presentations will include a briefing on federal policy, plus plenary panels on Maintaining Strong Communities in a Time of Turmoil, Addressing the Issues from the Front Lines: A Mayor’s Roundtable and The Future of Low Income Communities: Prospects & Challenges. 

 Many guests and panelists are on the agenda including:

  • Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Gene Sperling, Director of the National Economic Council
  • Tom Menino, Mayor of Boston
  • Ed Rendall, former Governor of Pennsylvania
  • Kevin Johnson, Mayor of Sacramento
