DATE:
OCTOBER 1, 2014 - 3:00 PM ET

LOCATION:
Online

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is offering grants for creative placemaking through their "Our Town" initiative.  Subject to the availability of funding, the NEA will provide a limited number of grants for projects that contribute towards the livability of communities and help transform them into lively, beautiful, and resilient places with the arts at their core.

Projects should represent the distinct character and quality of their communities, and must reflect the following:

  • A vision for enhancing the livability of the community.
  • A systemic approach to equitable civic development.
  • Support for artists, design professionals, and arts organizations by integrating the arts and design into the fabric of civic life.

Click on the link below to sign up for the webinar they are hosting on October 1, 2014, describing the opportunity in more detail, and providing an overview of the application process.  The deadline for submitting applications is December 15, 2014.
