Learn strategies for capitalizing on your organization’s experience and results, and learn how to create a story that will compel your audience to listen and respond with funding and increased participation at this symposium, taking place at the NeighborWorks Training institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Communication experts will teach participants to determine the needs and interests of the desired audience and compile a narrative with persuasive data, plus cover the best ways to share that information. Topics include:

  • Building stories that “move the soul”
  • How to stand out
  • Motivating your audience to action
  • Ways to build a communications toolbox: statistics, video and smartphone technology
  • Case studies that cover strategies that work in both rural and urban settings, at organizations both large and small

Participants will also have access to courses in community development (with site visits), transit-oriented development, intergenerational community building, comprehensive community revitalization, financial capability, single-family and small business lending and many more. They’ll also enjoy Louisville’s great southern hospitality, performing arts, sports and dining options!
