An interactive, online training session will help counselors become more effective and efficient. Called Advanced Foreclosure: Case Study Practicum, offered by NeighborWorks America, the course includes online assignments, weekly live sessions and peer discussion forums. It is geared toward counselors that have already had one year of foreclosure counseling experience and already completed NeighborWorks America’s Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling Certification Part 1. Participants should have a strong working knowledge of foreclosure concepts, terminology, loss mitigation options, financial calculations in foreclosure intervention analyses, and counseling practices.

This online session gives practitioners what they need to provide the next level of counseling and improved service. The training focuses on four content areas: core elements, analysis and assessment, solution focused counseling skills, and submission and closure of a loss mitigation package. The class runs from October 7, 2013 to November 10, 2013.
