Symposium - Homeownership in an Era of Change
AUGUST 20, 2014 - 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM ET
With housing recovery underway, nonprofit housing organizations are facing many challenges as new regulations, technology and counselor certifications are introduced to the existing system. Learn how to identify these challenges and develop strategies to overcome them at the upcoming symposium at the NeighborWorks Training Institute in Orlando, Florida. Best practices include forming new and mutually beneficial partnerships, making good use of technological advances, and fully understanding – and knowing how to navigate – new federal regulations.
These topics will be covered at the symposium as well as how to update business practices so organizations are ready for compliance and can best serve customers. The symposium will help participants use and understand new technology systems that track customer data, ensure compliance, engage consumers, and provide access to programs and services. It will guide organizations as they focus on partnership development and undergo operational evolution and change. Speakers include: Lisa Davis from the Ford Foundation, Laurie Goodman from the Urban Institute and Sandra Thompson from the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
