Upcoming Symposium to Focus on Community Transformation
DECEMBER 11, 2013 - 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM CT
Kansas City, MO
New strategies for community transformation will be the focus of an upcoming symposium hosted by NeighborWorks America called Real-World Solutions for Community Transformation. The one-day session – which takes place during the week-long NeighborWorks Training Institute (December 9-13, 2013) – will focus on ways to maximize the impact of local partnerships and build integrated methods for connecting housing, health care, education, public safety, transportation and more. A shared vision is critical as well as structures that allow for collaboration and entrepreneurial advancement. The symposium will provide tools and techniques for reframing issues, engaging partners, aligning strategies and leveraging local assets and will include specific examples from around the country.
