Find Foreclosed Homes with HUD’s New Mapping Tool

HUD’s new foreclosure mapping system is a tool for stabilizing communities hard-hit by foreclosure. The map shows all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA foreclosed properties, whose foreclosure inventories make up almost half of the REO properties in the nation.

The new website, called REO Portal, will help homebuyers, responsible investors and local housing affiliates to stabilize the housing market. It is especially helpful to those using NSP funds by helping them to target these investments. The portal maps each property and provides listing information such as price, number of bedrooms, bathrooms and so on. It was developed by HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research.
